Last week I posted my first-ever podcast. It was an interview with bestselling author Iris Johansen and her son, award-winning author Roy Johansen. They wrote a great thriller novel called Silent Thunder that promises to be a best seller. If you love books that beg to be movies, you’ll love Silent Thunder. It’s all that a thriller-lover wants in a fun summer read, so I’m happy to be able to offer one copy to a carp(e) libris reviews reader!

    My very favorite genre to read is mysteries. From the Nancy Drew and Cherry Ames books I read as a child to Laura Childs, Sue Grafton, Patricia Sprinkle and Sara Paretsky (and so very many others) that I read today! I love it that mysteries “keep me guessing”! I am currently reading various David Baldacci books from the thriller

    I love the Johansen’s books and I love mysteries. I want to read this soooooooo bad. I have been laid off my job and I am climbing the walls with boredom when I don’t have an interview. If I could get into this wonderful book I wouldn’t be climbing the walls. I would be engaged.

    I love a good mystery. I like thrillers as well but I find I really get absorbed in a mystery. I lose myself for a while and that relaxes me so it’s great for my mind and my body.

    I love murdery mysteries. One of my favorite authors is J.D. Robb. I love how she writes as Nora Roberts also. I’m currently reading one of her books called Blood Brothers. Very odd read, kinda of fantasy and thriller mixed into one.

    I’m an avid reader, and mystery/suspense novels are some of my favorites. I’m really partial to forensic mysteries - Kathy Reichs, Patricia Cornwell, to name a couple. Rita Mae Brown, Carolyn G. Hart, M.C. Beaton, Martha Grimes - too many to list!

    I read all the time mystery novels my favorite author is Mary Higgins Clarke to keep down the cost of purchasing books I have learn to swap with friends and local books stores. Thanks for the contest

    I love both thrillers and mysteries. I can read a mystery straight through mostly because I want to know the answer to the old question “who dun it?”. I’m reading I Shall Not Want by Julia Spencer-Fleming.
