For us readerly types, tea seems to be the perfect addition to a great book. Red Leaf Tea recently gave away some of their wonderful African Summer tea here at carp(e) libris reviews, and they enjoyed your response to their teas. Today they’d love to give away some more! Your input means a lot to them – for that reason, this time there will be two winners. Red Leaf Tea wants your ideas and suggestions for improving their online store. As usual, a winner will be selected randomly, but Red Leaf Tea will select the best suggestion as the second winner. Both winners will receive any tea of their choice, up to a $15 value.
Also for carp(e) libris reviews readers, Red Leaf Tea is offering us all a 20% off coupon code for the first 10 people who use this coupon code: carp(e)libris.

your tea is super
Suggestion for the tea people: I just discovered Tazo’s Vanilla & Apricot White Tea and it is smells (and tastes) divine. I don’t drink it alone; I fill a pitcher with cold water, add four Lipton tea bags, and one vanilla/apricot tea bag. I let sit in the refrigerator overnight. Yum, it’s not your granny’s iced tea!
Thanks for the giveaway!

I enjoyed looking at your website. Your Pu’erh tea is interesting and your descriptions of your tea are very in depth and interesting. I liked the colorful pictures streaming across the top of the page. If there is a subtitle like, Samplers, there should be something there to purchase. People may not want to go back on 1/9 or remember to go back. I did enjoy your site though and think that it gives a tea person and a non tea person good information to purchase just the right tea. Thanks for allowing me to comment. Maureen

I love the website but I thought it should feature some nice gift sets on the front page to entice buyers.

I looked at your website and although I do not have any suggestions for improvement I would just like to say keep up the good work and keep putting out an excellent product.
I’m a subscriber – thanks!
My suggestion is to sponsor a contest for original reader-created recipes using your teas or other products. The contest could be simply for beverages using your teas. You might also consider asking for original recipes using your products in things other than beverages : baked goods, entrees etc. I am an avid cook who creates many original recipes each month for national recipe contests. Sponsoring a recipe contest would be a great way to promote your site and your products. Prizes could be your products, a gift certificate to your store, money, or any combination of those items. Recipe contests spread the news about your web site and your products, boost sales, and create goodwill and customer loyalty. I would be glad to give you more specific ideas and suggestions on sponsoring such a contest, if you desire. I’d certainly enter a recipe contest you’d sponsor and I know many others would do the same!
I love a warm cup of tea with some homemade bread…mmmmm
no suggestion just complimenting on a great site and good products.
I love different types of tea
My wife and I drink tea for two reasons. First, the great taste and second the health benefits.
You have promoted the taste aspect but should put more emphasis on the health benefits of tea. I am a subscriber.

I would like to see more of a selection of 100% organic teas. Also, to read about the benefits of each tea/ingredient. Recipes would be great too!
small gift packs would be a good idea. thanks.
I would love to see them offer more bath teas. I use tea a lot in the bath (especially for sunburns!) but have never seen a site offer it specifically- I usually spend the evening with Lipton- LOL!

I love your selection! However, as a socially-conscious consumer, I’d really appreciate having more information about your providers. For instance, are you fair-trade? Other than that, some emphasis on health benefits, as another reader has pointed out, would really add to the appeal of both traditional and lesser-known teas.
I was going to suggest samplers but it looks like they are coming.
I would like to suggest making the print under the pictures of the tea a little bigger. On my screen it’s quite small.

I’m a big tea drinker so I found the site very interesting. I agree with the comments others have made about the samplers and emphasizing the health benefits of tea. I like the pictures of the tea bushes, but wonder if photos of cups of tea in a nice setting and showcasing the variety of teas you have might be more effective at getting people to buy. I had some problems with the length of time it took pages to load, but hopefully that is only temporary.
My only suggestion would be for a sale section
1/6/09 – Thanks for the giveaway!
I’ve never heard of your tea before, but I definitely enjoyed browsing your site. I think I’ll do some more browsing (and maybe shopping!) after I’m finished with this comment!
I’d like to see some samplers. If you are new to loose tea, it can be daunting trying to select the one that you want with out tasting any. Samplers are great because they allow you try them all, and not end up with a box of something that doesn’t suit your taste buds.

I think it should feature some nice gift sets on the front page to entice buyers. Love the web site though.
I would suggest that they post the samplers.
Thanks.
Thanks for the great giveaway!

how about some organic tea?
I think their site is pleasing to the eye and not full of flashy ad’s and what nots. Although I agree I would love to read more about the places they came from, fair trade etc. I also agree with a previous poster that having a list of benifits would be great for someone who is just beginning with drinking tea! Thanks!
Samples would be great!

As an avid tea drinker, your products look interesting. I was particularly intrigued by the unique tea selection. I would love to try the TNT sleeping beauty. I’ve never seen the prosperity cube anywhere else, nor even heard of green rooibos. I would’ve appreciated a little more information about green roibos’ flavor and the unusual packaging for the TNT teas.
I am not sure the web design showcases your wares with the ease that an online consumer expects. For example, I appreciate the lengthy commentary about each type of tea (red, green, black, etc). However, after reading the essay, it would be better to be redirected to the essay’s subsection as opposed to the main page. If I read a whole essay about red tea, I want to look at red teas afterwards. Also the unique tea section should be under last Pu-Erh tea. As mentioned above, the sampler and gift basket pages are currently empty.
Although the header is beautiful, it takes up a lot of space. Home page should feature more pictures of your wares, as opposed to an argument for loose teas. The text is not as attractive as tea pictures, but keep the free shipping in red.
I would also suggest having a fuller best sellers subsection.
Wow…what a great variety of choices. I finally decided on Jasmine Green tea.
Thanks for a great giveaway.

I couldn’t find any teapots on your site. I recently bought one for my parents and had a hard time finding one that was reasonably priced locally.
I would love to see decaffeinated black tea that doesn’t have any added flavor but still tastes great!
Great site, no suggestions. I love Tea! Thanks!
I would suggest that they carry a plain Rooibos tea. The Bourbon sounds delicious to me but my husband likes it best plain.

Hi,
I’m wondering if you have a decaf, loose-leaf tea or a mixed box selection of several differnet types of decaf. tea bags??? I couldn’t find it, please point it out if you do?
I LOVE SAMPLER PACKS SO I CAN TRY SEVERAL FLAVORS THEN PICK A FAVORITE
the selection looks great, but i think the site needed a facelift! the layout looks too much like a template and the font doesn’t really look as “crisp” as it does on very professional looking websites. overall though, the site and products look great, good luck!
